Twenty minutes: A written test evaluates the driver's general knowledge of Rules of the Road, regulations and driving procedures, unless the participant has recently completed a course with Peters Educational Services. Driving time will be increased by twenty minutes.
Ten minutes: Driver demonstrates basic knowledge with a vehicle safety check.
Thirty minutes: Operating his own vehicle in typical traffic, the driver's judgement, skills and attitude are observed. This comprehensive evaluation appraises behaviour and attitude, risk assessment, and general driving skills. Coaching is included, if necessary. Verbal and written feedback are provided.
Advanced Road Test Preparation
Alberta's Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) program requires new drivers to pass an advanced road test to obtain a non-probationary, full-privilege operator's license. We prepare new drivers to meet with success by:
- providing opportunity to review and demonstrate their skills
- evaluating their competencies
- coaching to improve, if required
Commercial and Fleet Driver evaluations
Do your company's drivers enhance your reputation? Is your bottom line affected through vehicle down time, product loss or claims payouts? The Canada Safety Council strongly recommends that driver training and review is included in corporate safety programs.
